Costed Bill of Materials SuiteApp is Now Available
SuiteApp: Costed Bill of Materials Overview
The Costed Bill of Materials SuiteApp is now available with the 2023.2 update. This powerful addition eliminates the limitation of not being able to perform a Costed Bill of Materials Inquiry for Average Cost. With this SuiteApp, you can seamlessly generate a detailed breakdown of the total cost for an assembly item, taking into account the bill of materials revision, routing steps, and costing method.
In this Suite Guide, we'll guide you through the process of installing Suiteapp and how to access the report.
Before you can start using the Costed Bill of Materials SuiteApp, you need to make sure you have all the prerequisites in place:

SuiteCloud Development Framework
Once you have these prerequisites enabled, follow these steps to install the Costed Bill of Materials SuiteApp:
Go to SuiteApps.
Search for Costed Bill of Materials
On the SuiteApp details page, click the "INSTALL" button located in the top-right corner.
The installation process will begin.
Accessing the Costed Bill of Materials
Go to Reports > Cost Accounting > Costed Bill of Materials.
From the Subsidiary list, select a subsidiary for the bill of materials.
Choose the Assembly Item list for which you want to generate the BOM from the item list.
Select a location to view data for that specific location from the Location list.
Choose the bill of materials you want to use from the Bill of Materials list. This will automatically populate the Bill of Materials Revision and Effective Date fields.
In the Display Control list, choose either "By Date" or "By Revision" to determine what to include in the assembly.
Note: this option is available only when an assembly item uses revision control for its effective display control value.
The Date/Effective Date field displays the date used to determine when a component should be included in the assembly. This field is editable only if the display control value is set to "By Date." Components are displayed based on specific criteria related to this date.
Select the appropriate bill of materials revision from the Bill of Materials Revision field.
If the assembly item has an associated routing, check the "By Manufacturing Routing" box. This option will be disabled if the item has no associated routing. Please note that you must check this box to see data in the "Assembled Costs" and "Fully Exploded Costs" sub-tabs.
In the Build Quantity field, enter the build quantity of the item you want to see for the costed bill of materials. The default value is 1.
To limit the details to the selected assembly item, its components, and operation only, check the "Top Level Only" box. If you want to display details at all levels of the fully exploded Bill of Materials, clear this box. Please note that this field cannot be checked if the "By Manufacturing Routing" box is selected.
From the Material Cost list, you can select the cost type to be used for all components.
Click Submit.
